Within months after the arrest of the older members of the MOB, a new drug called crack-cocaine came to the forefront of America’s problems and Oakland and Darryl Reed were in the middle of it. Darryl was introduced to the cocaine sales game by his friend, Rick and the two boys invested in the drug.

Weight

The story of "Lil D" was very interesting. He painted a very vivid picture as to what the streets of Oakland were like when the original M.O.B was handlng business; he also shares his relationship with legendary Boss "Felix Mitchell". From start to finish you will enjoy this true account of Darryl Reed's life before he was given his sentence of 40 years in the Fed's.

Great Read

By all accounts this book was a great read. Darryl Reed really brought the streets of Oaklnad to life through his writing. I would recommend at as a must read if you enjoy autobiograpies or urban fiction, because this is a dreamt up story that's all real.

The glitz and glam of the inner city fast life subculture is on full display; along with its climatic life altering ending. Lil D has painted such a vivid picture of the lure, high, and consequences of this ultimate trap game. His story is definitely a cautionary tale for all who have thoughts of entering or continue to take penitentiary chances in the drug game.In the end his message is vividly clear; that no matter how successul you are, the ride is quick, your "shine" time is short, and the consequences are severe.
