The Survivalist (Anarchy Rising)

Once again, Dr. Bradley does not disappoint in the continuing adventures of Father and Son - the Raines! Book 2 continues their separate stories, as they battle the "infected", the disaffected, the corrupt government dealing with a massive SHTF in America, and the rest of the planet is unable to help. I especially like Tanner Raines, a complex convict with a code of justice that has a good side. Certainly he is NOT your typical felon! Both men I would want on my side in a grid down situation and never as enemies. Will they triumph? Will the evil forces in the government triumph over the good, and them and their friends? I look forward to Book 3 in this series. After reading at least 150 such novels, these books rank very high with me.

Fantastic New Series!

I absolutely loved the second book in this new series! I am completely drawn in by the characters, findings excuses to not put the book down so I can find out what happens next. This story is one of those that, if I'm not reading it, I can't help but feel I'm missing the action! I am eagerly anticipating the next book and the eventual meeting between Tanner and Mason, and imagine the possibilities of them working together and wondering if they will switch from local efforts to big picture efforts to restore law and order.

Smooth easy read!

I sat down to read Dr. Bradley's book, and was so easily engrossed that the next thing I knew my kindle showed I was 80% finished. Mason and Tanner Raines are perfect post apocalyptic characters, though I believe Bowie the Irish hound was probably my favorite. Without giving away too much, this book has everything for the PA or zombie lover: cannibals, gunfights, knife fights, government overreach, giant truck bombs, rapists brought to justice... I could keep going, but you get the hint. I can honestly say it is one of the best books I've read in a while and I'll be reading the next in the series!
