About the Author
M.A. Burk is an Illustrator who loves a good fantasy novel. She started this series back in 2006 due to her frustration that there were very few good mermen stories out there. So she decided to write her own. What was once written for fun has grown and taken on a life of its own that she never expected. She lives with her husband and children as one big happy, nerdy family.

I bought this to read with my daughter as she has always liked stories about mermaids and mermen and this one was a big hit. a very enjoyable and well written story that looks to be the start of a great series. Highly recommended.

Under the Sea!

Mermaids were always my favorite as a child. Even now as an adult, I love to read different books about these beloved creatures. In this story, we follow an average teenage girl who is awaiting her high school graduation. On the other hand, we meet a merman who is a bit of a "daredevil" in the sea world.
Watching these two characters collide was done beautifully. I enjoyed the author's exquisitely written first part of her series. She left me hanging when I began to not get enough of that world! I can't wait for what she has in store next in the next book!
